Frenchs Forest Public School has an active Parents and Citizens Committee which is involved in many facets of school life. Parents run the school canteen, clothing pool, a highly-regarded band program and support sports activities and computer education. The P&C and class groups also help maintain the school grounds.
To subscribe to the mailing list, send an email to ffps-pandc-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and in the body of the email please give your name, phone number and the name and class of your child(ren). Once approved, you can send messages to the group by emailing them to ffps-pandc@yahoogroups.com or by simply replying to the emails you will receive. In case of difficulties, send an email to ffps-pandc-owner@yahoogroups.com and we'll sort it out.
The mailing list does not replace the formal mechanisms of the P&C, such as the meetings, formal votes, etc. However, it does allow general discussion, helps parents who are unable to attend meetings to become involved, and provides reminders of what's on.

Since the mailing list is hosted on Yahoo! Groups, you can get a bit more out of it by signing up with Yahoo at http://www.yahoo.com - it's free. This will let you log in and access the group's calendar, photos, shared files and other features (and as a Yahoo! member, you can build a free web page, have a customised home page with local news, and lots of other stuff).

There are two other mailing lists, for the computer committee and web site committee; You can subscribe to in the same way as for the main ffps-pandc mailing list: to subscribe to the Computer Committee mailing list, send an email to ffps-comcom-subscribe@yahoogroups.com - the subject line and body of the email is completely unimportant. Similarly, to subscribe to the Web Site Committee mailing list, send an email to ffps-web-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. In either case, you will receive an automated welcome message with full instructions.
